How the Rexpert got started:
My friends and family thought I had gone nuts because I gave up a great career as a high school teacher to open my entertainment business. I would rather be at your party or reception than be a referee at a spit ball fight. Can you blame me? Your party has the fun, laughter and great music. Who in their right mind would want to miss it.
I am retired military. Other than the fact I just gave away my age, I want you to know how I came about using the term "Total Variety DJ". As you may already know, today's world is filled with all kinds of interesting people. The music I play reflects all of them.
I have lived half my life overseas. As a military brat, a sailor, and finally a teacher. My variety in musical styles cover hits dating back to the early 1900's up to today's modern hits.
My DJ background began in 1988 as an amateur and slowly the business grew. In 1993 I earned the rank of semi-pro. My venues have included Enlisted and Officer's clubs throughout the far east. I have had contracts with all branches branches of the military services. Crowds have varied from 12 to 12,000 and the age groups have varied from the age of 6 to 96. I really enjoy my work as Master of Ceremonies and interacting with many varieties of personalities. My background in education ensures proper use of the English language and my military background instills timeliness and good grooming. My love for music does the rest and that is why I use the term "Total Variety DJ."
Oh, many ask why I am called the "Rexpert". A long time ago a fine young lady thought, that I thought, I knew everything. She started (and others followed) calling me the Rexpert and it stuck. What can I say......I'm The Rexpert.
